Tai Chi & Iron Shirt Qigong (Chi Kung 氣功) Classes
This course is a combination of Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan’s 24 movements and Iron Shirt Qigong (Chi Kung) exercises to strengthen your body, ligaments, tendons and inner organs.
- Yang style Tai Chi Chuan and Qigong (Chi Kung) Iron Shirt are available to those who wish to cultivate personal energy, create a strong, healthy physical body, as well as a focused and unified rapport of mind, body and spirit.
- Simplified Tai Chi is a set of 24 Movements specifically designed for beginners by China’s Ministry of Physical Culture and Sports. It includes Warm-up Exercises, Breathing Techniques, Tao Yin Qigong (Chi Kung), Relaxation and Meditation practice, learning new Tai Chi movements (a Tai Chi form) and practicing one of the postures of Qigong (Chi Kung) Iron Shirt.
Qigong (Chi Kung 氣功) Program Objectives:
By the end of the series of 10 classes students will understand and be able to apply Reversed, Empty Force and Packing Breathing Techniques, Three New Postures of Iron Shirt Qigong (Chi Kung), Nine Postures of Tan Tian Qigong (Chi Kung) and Tao Yin (Taoist Yoga) Exercises and Tai Chi Chuan Yang style Forms to strengthen immunity, revitalize the inner organs and glands, bones and muscles, and to switch autonomous nervous system from the stress related “fight or flight” mode over to the restorative healing mode.
All Qigong (Chi Kung) and Tai Chi forms can be easily adapted and can be practiced by all age groups.
You will leave the class filling relaxed, energized, peaceful and centered.
New Iron Shirt Qigong (Chi Kung 氣功) Classes start on Thursday, January 26-th from 8:00pm to 9:15pm
